* How to Become an Official

To cut a long story short, Miles Newman has put together the manual on how to become an Official and what you need to do to STAY qualified.  The Australian Sports Commission claim it to be the BEST submission they have seen and for the second time it has achieved Best Practice certification.

Here are questions that relate specifically to Offense and do not qualify for a FAQ.

Q. Why are some passes in the back field considered an incomplete pass while others lead to a live ball that can be recovered by the defense?

A. In general, an incomplete pass has to go forward. A lateral (sideways) or backward pass ( e.g. snapper to QB) is still live.
