* How to Become an Official

CHANGE TO RULE 3-1-3-h

Radio and television time outs

Radio and television timeouts are not permitted during any extra period, and charged team timeouts during any extra period may not be extended for radio and television purposes.

The committee voted to eliminate radio and television timeouts during extra periods. "Once the overtime starts and the excitement builds, any extended breaks not related to normal game activity are detrimental to most parties involved, especially the teams and spectators," Urick said.
