Chicks

In 1999, Alex was in pre-school at Farrar School for the Deaf. They had a school project - hatching a dozen eggs!!! It was truly a great project for the whole school, and one which Alex in particular loved. He truly began a love affair with chicks and hens that still continues. Here are some pictures of the "hatching" and fun that the children had.

In all 10 little chicks survived the hatching process. 8 yellow chicks, 1 black and 1 brown. The brown chick was Alex's favourite!!
