Grendel

Currently a "pet" of the Unseelie Count D'Lore Grendel is an eight legged, eight tentacled giant squid on a crocodile's body. It will attempt to grapple its victim and then devour them with its beak. It is immensely strong and can soak up a lot of punishment.

Grendel and Pistol appear to have encountered each other in the past.

When he first sighted it Pistol exclaimed "Oh, could that be Grendel that I played with as a baby monster and took the stick out of its eye?" Sure enough, a gleam of recognition came into the monster's eye but it seems to recall the incident differently as it felt quite malevolent towards Pistol. Perhaps the stick was taken out by the same person who put it in ?
