The Nightbringer

This fearsome creature abhors light, which can cause it damage, and changes shape to ambush unsuspecting victims, often by dropping from above. It will adopt the form of a black sheet when when fighting when it will try to envelop. It can kill with a myriad of sharp claws which slash from a variety of pseudopods. It is rumored that the beast can be driven off by wounding it but can only be killed in daylight.
