House Rules - Friendly Fire
When firing into a melee then the task number is raised once for every friend there [by 5 for each].
By aiming the firer can choose between two benefits:
(1) One unkept die to firearms skill for each action spent.
or (2) to negate the raise to task number [lower by 5].
All aiming actions must be used when they come up and cannot be held.
A character may spend a maximum number of "aiming" actions equal to his or her Wits.
For example Don Carlos is shooting at the dracheneisen monster. His basic task number is 15. Four of his comrades are tackling it already so this is modified by 5x4=20 ie a total task number of 35. He chooses to aim for three actions. He chooses whether he will take 3 extra unkept dice or lower the modified task number by 15. As he is not exploding he decides to lower the task number giving him a modified task number of 20.
