Webdesign Prices:

handprint Thank you for the compliment of clicking on Pricing.

I charge $40 per hour plus GST. Hosting, domain names and webforwarding are costs passed on to the site owner. I have a little bit of paper from a TAFE suggesting this is extremely reasonable.

Money can be saved by those who have the time and inclination to provide all their text and layout ideas and photos up front, and also those who can set up hosting, domain names and webforwarding themselves. Artwork is another time-consuming part of webdesign. If original artwork can be ready to go, things progress swiftly and cheaply. I don't mind doing all these things but they are time-consuming and I am poor so cannot work for free... did you see I am a writer on the other pages?

If you require secure online payments etc, a third party site will have to be set up, also, if you like the idea of feeding your blog into your webpage as was done in a couple of the previous sites that I set up, I use a third party provider for this. It gets around a lot of difficult coding that might make your site heavier and slower in the long run. Blog feeds are free. Secure payment sites are not. More costs.

If you are interested in proceeding with a webpage design, I recommend putting together an outline of what you'd like to see on your site and approaching a few designers to get an idea of pricing, as the variables are endless.
