the pigeons i think
have it all figured out
i mean
they have no real predators
even humans think
they are too disgusting to touch
let alone eat
what few simple things
they need to know to survive
can be easily learnt
what few natural urges
they need to exist
can be readily satisfied
they eat when they find food
or when food is given to them
when the time comes to mate
the mating dance is done
the raising of the young
mustn't take long
i mean i've never seen a baby pigeon
otherwise their days are full
of pretty much bugger all
they fly about
or walk around
or just stand facing the wind
or sit and enjoy the sun
warming the feathers on their backs
thinking birdly thoughts
about nothing at all
