Mission Debriefing
Session 3
After the combat they head back to Sergei’s sister’s house and search again.
Finding nothing else of interest, they go to the front of the house.
The group hears what sounds like a wood chipper start up across the road in a barn.
Natalyia and Arnie wait for Sergie and Karl to climb up on a garage roof to get a clear view of the barn and then advance toward the barn
Getting closer, Arnie uses enigma and spots three people standing tied to a post inside the barn and three other humanoids in the barn.
Two of the humanoids are standing behind the barn wall waiting for them to enter.
Sasha tells the rest of the group the exact spot and Natalyia fires at one of them starting the combat, hitting it and damaging it through the wall.
Arnie fires the M21 at one of them and only succeeds in blowing a hole in the wall.
Natalyia rolls a grenade against the wall and severely damages it.
Karl decides to jump from the roof and injures himself.
Sergie fires a laser rifle at one of the two, hitting it through the wall. The two run to the back and hide behind the wood chipper.
Arnie moves forward and readies an action to shoot.
Natalyia moves to the doorway and readies an action as well.
Karl moves forward.
Sergie fires at one of the three standing near the prisoners and hits with a double tap. The other humanoid moves to the rear behind the wood chipper.
Arnie fires and misses.
Natalyia suddenly has a strange look in her eye, turns and shoots Karl.
Karl moves then drops prone, shoots and misses Natalyia.
The machine suddenly surges forward and attacks Arnie but does no damage.
The three hiding run halfway to Sergie and are near Karl.
Arnie burst fires at two baddies but misses.
Natalyia throws a grenade at Arnie, the explosion hits but DR means no damage.
Karl auto fires, hits and the front humanoid drops to the ground.
He uses heroic surge but fail. Using an action point, he hits and the enemy drops to the ground.
Sergie double taps machine and a new bad guy appears near Karl after running out from behind the barn.
Machine continues to attack Arnie with little success.
Arnie fires but misses again.
Natalyia auto fires Sergie but misses.
Karl auto fires bad guy and he drops to the ground.
Machine charges over to Karl, Arnie misses an AoO but misses. Machine misses Karl.
Sergie double taps Machine. Arnie charges Machine and punches it doing no damage due to DR.
Natalyia continues to auto fire Sergie and continues to miss.
Karl rolls and shoots Machine. Machine attacks Karl and due to his sub dual damage from jumping off the roof, he drops unconscious to the ground.
Machine scoops him up.
Sergie double taps Machine again and hits. Arnie misses again.
Natalyia once more auto fires and once again misses Sergie.
Machine moves back in the back with Karl and Arnie misses AoO.
Sergie double taps hitting Machine and finally stopping it from moving.
Natalyia’s eyes return to normal and she rushes over to help Karl who is still unconscious.
Sergie jumps down and they go and release the prisoners.
The three prisoners are Sergei’s sister and two old men. All three are in deep shock and non-responsive to questioning.
Natalyia searches the barn and finds a stash of jewellery and keeps it for herself.
They put the three former prisoners into the hum-vee and they leave town.
An hour out, one of the old men collapses and they pull over to help him.
The man is brought back to life and Sergei’s sister finally comes out of shock and the story of the towns demise is told.
The team believes it is a government experiment and the other old man, now okay is persuaded to help the rebel cause. He is an official in the postal service.
Giving them some food they drive back towards Minsk the capital to drop Sergei’s sister at his grandmothers.
