"To the World, you might be one
person...
but to one person, you might be the World"
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to donate to every good cause? To help cure diseases, feed the starving, provide shelter, food, water, medicines for all, rescue abused or neglected animals, save all the rainforests? (etc etc etc)
Unfortunately it is not possible, there are too numerous 'good causes', and only so much that one person can do towards helping them.
You might feel there are too many problems to be solved, and think "how could I possibly help? "
Don't burden yourself too heavily with the problems of the world - and remember, any charitable act, no matter how seemingly small, can make a significant difference to someone or someplace, or something..... somewhere.
The Iseum of The Cosmic Dance supports and encourages all charitable acts.
Charity comes in many forms - it can be financial assistance, donation of
goods, donation of time (volunteering), or any random act of kindness.
This Iseum, through the financial assistance of its Founder and her family,
sponsors a young girl in Tanzania, South Africa, through World Vision. This
donation helps World Vision provide access to food, clean water, medicine and
education for the sponsored child and her community.
This Iseum is also involved in sponsoring a Tibetan Nun and a Tibetan Monk, through its Sister Iseum (Iseum of Hathor's Mirror). The small monthly donation helps to provide food, clothing, shelter, bedding and study materials - something that their local governments recently withdrew.
If One was to say: "Charity begins in your own backyard".
One may reply: "The World is my backyard".

Challenge:
"Be not
forgetful to entertain strangers, for thereby some have entertained angles
unawares." Do what
kindnesses for strangers that you can this season. Do some act,
anonymously, for someone in need. How does the gratification from this
differ from that gained when you are not anonymous? |

Tips:
(1) At least once a year, "spring clean" your closet (encourage other family members to do same, or threaten to do their closets yourself....). Bag up any clothes that are in reasonable condition, and which you have not worn in the past 13 months. Indeed, any clothes you don't even remember owning, should be put in the bag also! Donate these to a local Donation Bin that accepts clothing. (2) At least twice a year, spring clean your entire house. Bag up any household items that are in reasonable condition and which you no longer use or require. Donate these to a local Donation Bin that accepts small household items. For larger items, find a local charity that has a pick-up service. ( 3) Sick of carrying around that heavy, annoying, loose change after making purchases? Look around for a donation box on the shop counter, then drop it in! Or perhaps if a local charity is present in your shopping-centre, then take the time to donate it to them. Yes, even if it is 5 cents!Got
