"Who Heals the Healers?"

When you hurt yourself, what is your primary, instinctive response?

Did you answer: "I place my hand/s on the hurt area"?

When you observe another person who is hurt or injured, what do you notice their  primary, instinctive response to be?

Did you answer: "They place their hand/s on the hurt area"?

When you observe a loved one in distress, what is your primary, instinctive response?

Did you answer: "I place my hand/s on them for comfort and assurance"?

As you can see, the laying on of the hand/s in response to distress, is a built-in instinct that we all possess.

What is the purpose of such an instinct?

Well, that's easy. What is actually happening, is that you are immediately channelling healing energy through your hands, to the hurt part of yourself, or to the person you have responded to.

Because this is an instinctive response it proves, in the most simplest way, that we ALL have some ability to channel healing energy. It is a Divine Gift

To enhance such gift, one may pursue studies which enable them to learn to channel healing energy in a more specialised, focused way.

Possibilities include:

Color Healing
Chakra Balancing
Aura Work
Crystal Healing
Colour Healing
Massage
Acupuncture
Herbalism
Chinese Herbalism
Reiki
Aromatherapy
Reflexology
Iridology
Flower Essence Therapies
Homeopathy
Naturopathy
Chiropody
Kinesiology
Bioharmonics
Hypnosis
Reflexology
Acupressure.

The list goes on and on

More and more people are seeking alternative therapies to compliment (and in some cases, replace), standard medical procedures and treatments.

This Iseum does not advocate the practice of replacing treatments that are administered by a medical practitioner! Neither does it frown on those who choose to do this - as it is a deeply personal choice.

This Iseum does, however, strongly support the use of alternative therapies that can compliment and enhance standard treatment procedures!!

The attribute of Healing is the primary focus of the Iseum of the Cosmic Dance. The secondary attributes of Creativity and Charity that this Iseum are dedicated to, are also aspects of Healing, when you think about it.

Healing refers to the healing of self, the healing of others (human or animal) and the healing of the Earth; on all levels.

The Iseum is dedicated to all aspects of healing.

Healing of self should be an important goal for any serious practising pagan. And even though we cannot heal ALL of our wounds, we can still treat them - put on some ointment, bandage them up, keep them clean, and nurture them to the best of our abilities, so to speak.

We will always have scars, that is part of the human condition. But we can attempt to make them as faint as possible!

 Iseum Healing Challenge 1:

If you do not already practise a formal method of healing, research one that particularly attracts you. This could be Massage, Acupuncture, Reflexology, Iridology, Reiki... the list is endless. Make some enquiries about any locally available courses and if possible, enroll and complete the course!

Tip 1: If cost and/or time is a problem, then "Hands of Light:  A Guide to Healing through the Human Energy Field" by Barbara Brennan, is a fantastic and highly recommended book with which to teach yourself a method of Healing!

 Iseum Healing Challenge 2:

Challenge yourself to complete the "Footsteps" exercise. Yes I know, this is under the Creativity Challenge also... but it easily fits under both headings.

 Iseum Healing Tips:

(1) Keep it simple.

(2) Be clear and concise about your goal.

(3) Healing is a two way street - whoever you wish to send Healing to, must want to be healed. Otherwise, they will not necessarily be receptive to your efforts.

(4) Don't think of yourself as a Healer par se, but more as a Channel for Healing Energy.

Got any good Healing Tips? Please email me and I will put them here!
