This webpage is dedicated to him with love - so that we may share our memories of him with you!
OUR BEAUTIFUL BOY
He was born on the 20th February 1975. We loved him unconditionally from the day he was born - how could we help it? Very early we knew he had the personality that would make a big impact on our lives and on everyone else he would touch. He was the ultimate attention seeker, born to be loved with no strings attached. He brought so much joy into our lives - his presence filled our homes and hearts. His personality impelled people to love him.
In return, he loved us, his life, family, home, guitar, music, surfing, golf, sport in general, and of course, his mates. We were just so proud of our beautiful boy and his achievements.
On Wednesday 28th May 1997 our joy was cut short. Our lives will never be the same; we will never be the same. Our hearts have been broken and we ask "How can we live with a broken heart?" - but we will, for the sake of our beloved girls and other loved ones with whom we have been blessed.
We had him with us for 22 years. He came into our lives, touched us all so deeply, and although he is asleep but for awhile, he will go on touching our lives through our memories that no one can take away. We miss him so much already - no more of his singing filling our home, no more cuddles he loved so much, no more of his joyful presence.
Joshie, we will love you forever, but for now we must say "Goodbye".
"With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning, nor outcry, nor pain any more. The former things have passed away."
(The Book of Revelation Chapter 21: Verses 3 & 4)
(Written by Lola Hall, Josh's mother and read by Dawn Lang at his funeral. This has also been permanently recorded on his gravestone at Caloundra Lawn Cemetary)
Josh's friend Bernadette Alizart sang "Wind Beneath My
Wings" at the funeral
