In Takahashi's reality,
Ranma's first manifestation of the Nekoken is straight after having learnt
it. There, his father eventually caught him in the arms of the 'nice old lady,'
and the story continues thereon.
What
becomes of the martial artist we all know and love when he is discovered by
a member of a powerful ninja clan first, and taken from his blood father to
be trained in the art of Ninjitsu? It is a whole different bank of problems
that Ranma must face - he is now a member of a Clan which exists for the protection
of a world which abhors and shuns them. How can such a boy be accepted by friends
and family?
Ranma's
new domain is the world of shadows, night, secrecy - far from the land of mass
mayhem and mega battles that we have come to accept from the trouble maker.
Or is it? Somehow things seem to be mighty familiar.
