Fortunately, I had obtained replacement wheelsets for both the tractor and associated "shunter's runner" last year, as I was concerned about the plating having worn off the wheels, and was able to replace the wheelset in an evening's work.

During the May 2004 NMRA meeting it was reported that the
"Tractor" was running
erratically. A quick examination revealed that the tyre of one of the
driving wheels had become loose on the wheel centre. Fortunately, I had obtained replacement wheelsets for both the tractor and associated "shunter's runner" last year, as I was concerned about the plating having worn off the wheels, and was able to replace the wheelset in an evening's work. |
