| 609RC is one of our fleet of insulated vans, which operate on the daily "limited mixed" direct from the wharf at Anunaka to the towns. Based on the Victorian Railways T class, the cast bodies run on the standard underframe . Although the model was not of a SAR prototype, it certainly looks very close to the RN or RPN vans used on the Eyre Peninsula. | Another variety of open wagons is the OM class. This vehicle is reworked from a Chivers Queensland Railways 4-wheel open wagon kit. It looks very nice with internal detailing. |

| The Dutton Bay has two ballast hoppers on register, available for the works trains. The hoppers were built from kits listed in Walthers' catalog as Master Creations, but when they arrived they were labelled Clear Creek Models. The kit is the 18 ton SP&M ore car. The injection moulded styrene is highly detailed, and looks great trundling along in our engineer's train. | There are a couple of different varieties of water tankers on the DBT. This example is of the TA class, fabricated in styrene. |
There are descriptions and photographs of more of the Dutton Bay's goods fleet on the Previous Page
As you will read in the detailed pages, we use the underframe from the Kato 8001 open wagon as the basis for our standard vehicles, while the construction of the bodies has progressed from timber thru to styrene and more recently polyurethane castings.
