Dutton Bay Tramway

The original design of Warunda, as shown on the original full plan had everything I wanted, but suffered from the station building facing away from the operators. As I reworked the plan I also decided that since this interchange would most likely be a major traffic generator for the Dutton Bay, it should have a wye at the very least.

The plan as shown on the left, derived very obviously from Anunaka, retains the transfer crane, the transhipment platform, the dual gauge cattle dock as well as the goods shed as destinations/sources for traffic, and adds the wye. Changes from the previous revamp (see below) include moving the whole yard to extend the short run from Kelvin, a crossover at the 3'6" crossing end of the yard to allow shunting without fouling that crossing, and a loading bank. There is now a minimum of dual gauge trackage - two partial mixed-gauge turnouts on the wye providing 3'6" gauge access to the cattle dock, and a mixed-gauge crossing on the route to the transhipment crane and platform. Moving the overhead crane sidings has allowed a road and shops to be positioned behind the station.

The intermediate stage of Warunda planning is shown below.
