ASRC Donations

Please keep up the flow of food and toiletries for the ASRC. Just remember that hundreds of people rely on the generosity of Melbourne folk, purely to survive. Don't forget Met tickets of any variety or denomination are also very welcome.

Special thanks to the volunteers who have offered to collect goods from the Living and Learning Centre and deliver them to the ASRC in West Melbourne. We acknowledge, with thanks, their help in this most worthwhile cause.

There is now a collection box at the Panton Hill Living and Learning centre as well.

Petitioning Pollies

There is obviously a lot of opposition to the proposed government's harsh new bill to amend it's immigration policy, both within the party and in the Senate. It's a constant barrage of letters from people like us, that can help prevent this draconian legislation from going through the Senate. So keep up the letter writing. The government will not present the Bill if they think it is going to fail.

Become One in a Million

Did you know that there are 639,000,000 small arms and light weapons in the world today ? Or that more than half a million people are killed by armed violence each year ? That is one person every minute.

While there are legally binding treatise governing the trade of old postage stamps, there is no international agreement governing the transfer of arms.

Add you voice to demands for a treatise by signing the "Million Faces" Petition.
