This year the Diamond Valley Oxfam Groups Christmas Breakup will be held at the residence of Susan and Jock McKay, Tel. 9439 7280.
Susan thinks she has enough chairs, but if you have a folding chair, bring one just in case.
Bring your own drinks, meat and a salad to share and perhaps a sweet or desert.
The house is almost at the corner of Reynalds an Yarra Braes Rd and the most direct route is probably via Reynalds Rd.
We hope everyone can come and join in this last event of the year.
Summary of Decisions made at November 10th Meeting
1. December meeting - to be held at Mackay's place - details to be in newsletter 2. Funds available for distribution - $17,000 - agreed to nominate that $10k go to Mining Ombudsman and $7k to East Timor Food Fund 3. Office Bearers for next year: Chair - Stephen Minute Secretary - Elizabeth Treasurer - Alistair (subject to agreement) Publicity - John Newsletter - John and Stephen Meeting organisers - Carol, Marguerite, John and Joan 4. Next year's meeting dates changed to the third Friday of the month to avoid long weekends 5. Walk Against Want - There is a proposal that some groups will organise a "Walk" next year on April 29. The group decided it did not want to organise its own walk, but would use our mailing list of previous years walkers to urge them to participate in any walks organised. Pat Cameron agreed to be the group link person to those organising. 6. Fundraising ideas for next year · Dance in first half of year and possible second dance later in the year · Film night(s) · Bowls night late in the year- Pat · Bookfair - will start receiving books and will finally decide early next year.
Meeting Dates for 2007
3rd Friday of the Month
Please note that next year we will be changing the meeting day from the 2nd Friday to the 3rd Friday of the month. The reason for this is that the 2nd Friday classes with a number of long weekends in 2007.
