These widely-used handwritten books are supplied spiral bound and complete with stiff covers.

They're printed on full A4 size paper and contain many of the standard repertoire of
Trad and Dixieland jazz numbers as well as popular show tunes and ballads etc.

Prices are in AUS$ and include packaging and mailing costs Australia wide.

Please email me for shipping costs outside of Australia.

Chord Book One - $30. Contains chord sequences for 372 tunes and a full barn dance set for those dance jobs.

Lead Book One - $75. Matches Chord Book One. For Bb instruments (Trumpet, Clarinet, Soprano and Tenor Saxes etc). Has complete melody lines for the tunes in Chord Book One.

Chord Book Two - $30. Contains chord sequences to 402 tunes (different to those in Chord Book One, except for a very few reprinted with the addition of a verse or similar)

Lead Book Two - $35. Partially matches Chord Book Two, containing 159 of its 402 tunes. For Bb instruments, like Lead Book One.

NB: There are no chord symbols on the Lead Books as (a) On a multi-part tune like Fidgetty Feet the solos are usually done on the last strain and it's not too hard for for musicians to write in their own chord symbols there if they don't have a good enough ear, and (b) Many Australian jazz musicians prefer Concert Pitch chords to Transposed chords - as I do - so I've left it up to them to write in their own chords if necessary.

This music was always intended too for band use, with the rhythm section using the Chord Book and the lead horn uses the Lead Book

Preferred method of payment:

(1) Post Office Money Order, (2) Direct Bank Transfer, (3) Paypal, (4) Cheque.

Work on Lead Book Two (and the rest of this 'jazz band repertoire' project) has now been abandoned due to the wholesale piracy and photocopying done by an amateur group of Sydney jazz workshop musicians (T. Barrett & Co.??) There'd have been a book of words too...

Many sensible musicians have spoken ill of those pirates to me, with their opinion being that 'it's a shame for such cheapskates to steal this material, when for the price of one or two gigs the whole band gets a complete repertoire...'.
