Peter and Mandy at the Fun Run 22 October 2006

 

Wednesday 25 October  Dinner Meeting 7 for 7:30 at Matraville RSL    Mystery Guest Speaker     Evilo Moznnue  whose subject will be "Italian Cooking, Italian Wines, and Italian Cheeses"  the mystery guest said he would also be bringing Italian cheese samples for members to taste.

Saturday 28 October    Elvio and Teddy Bears Convention.at Burwood RSL   Must attend to support Elvio.   The only cost is food -   $20 for morning lunch and afternoon tea.   It is hoped that members will stay on until the cocktail party.  The party will cost a further  $22.  Ref Gail.    Delegates will be Jenny, Gae, and Graham.   Gerry will be an alternate

A True Story from Kristina

A young man named Solomon moved to Texas and bought a donkey from a
farmer for $100.00. The farmer agreed to deliver the donkey the next day.
The next day the farmer drove up and said, "Sorry son, but I have some bad
news, the donkey died.  
Solomon replied, "Well, then, just give me my money back."
The farmer said, "Can't do that. I went and spent it already."
Solomon said, "OK, then, just bring me the dead donkey."
The farmer asked, "what ya gonna do with him?"
 Solomon said, "I'm going to raffle him off."       
 The farmer said, "You can't raffle off a dead donkey!"       
 Solomon said, "Sure I can. Watch me. I just won't tell anybody he is dead."       
 
 
A month later, the farmer met up with Solomon and asked, "What
happened with that dead donkey?"
Solomon said, "I raffled him off. I sold 500 tickets at two dollars
a piece and made a profit of $998.00."The farmer said, "Didn't anyone complain?"
Solomon said, "Just the guy who won. So I gave him his two dollars
back."
Solomon Trujillo eventually moved to Australia and became the CEO
of Telstra!
