Movies That Feature Unnamed Wristwatches

Angels With Dirty Faces (1938)

Bewitched (1945)

Blow Out (1981) - An unnamed watch containing a wire garrotte used by John Lithgow. (See From Russia With Love).

Bob le flameur (1955) - Several unnamed watches are seen just before the heist at the casino.

Bullets Or Ballots (1936)

Chinatown (1974) - There is a medium close-up of a rectangular Art Deco watch worn by Jack Nicholson.  He uses it to synchronise a cheap pocket watch.

Cincannati Kid (1965) - A close-up of a rectangular watch.

Dial M For Murder (1954) - Ray Milland wears an unnamed watch which has stopped. In the first close-up, Grace Kelly’s potential killer’s watch is unnamed. In the second close-up, the name of the watch partly appears and is obscured by the hands at 11 o’clock. I believe that the watch brands were deliberately erased.

Dick Tracy (1990) - The famous radio wristwatch.

Easy Rider (1969) - Unknown watch thrown away by Peter Fonda at the start of the film.  In a recent interview for a watch magazine, Peter Fonda states that this watch  was a Timex on a Speidel band.  He also states, that underneath his jacket sleeve, he is wearing a gold Rolex GMT prototype.

Enemy Below, The (1957) - A good close-up of a stainless steel chronograph with sub dials at 9 & 3 o'clock.  It's worn by Robert Mitchum.

Evil Under The Sun (1982) - Several vintage wristwatches are seen with time playing a part in the plot.

Fantastic Voyage (1966) - There's a shot of a white dial chronograph during the opening titles.

Galipoli (1981) - Close-ups of some nice vintage watches.

Gangster Number One (2000) - There's a good close-up of a gold tonneau-shaped watch with gold bracelet.  "Beautiful watch.  Wafer-thin.  Solid gold.  Hardly know you'd got it on.  Bond Street.  Two and a half grand."

Midnight Run (1988) - Unknown watch constantly checked by DeNiro to see if it’s still working, he finally gives the watch away at the end of the movie.

National Lampoon's Animal House (1978) - Close-ups of three different watches showing the time 11 o'clock.  When it shows John Belushi's watch, it reads 5.38.

Navy Blue and Gold (1937) - Three naval officers receive an identical wristwatch for Christmas.  The watch is rectangular with anchors on the 12, 3, 6 & 9 positions.  It also has a repeating funtion.  It is held up to the camera by James Stewart.

Party, The (1969) - Peter Sellers wears an unknown underwater watch in a movie set based in 1878 India. The director cuts the action and reminds Sellers’ character of the faux-pas. I suppose this is a parody on Ben Hur where Charlton Heston is supposedly seen wearing a wristwatch during the chariot race.

Party Girl (1958) - Close-up of a watch worn by Robert Taylor.

 Rififi (1955) - There's a medium shot of 2 register chronograph.

Scarface (1932) - A close-up of an unnamed, tonneau-shaped watch worn dial down, showing the time 2.10.

Six Bridges To Cross (1955) - Close-up of a bubble-back type watch.

That Darn Cat! (1965) - A kidnap victim places her wristwatch around the neck of a cat so that she can be rescued.

Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (1974) - There are close-ups of a few watches, one of them being an electric watch.

Time Bomb (Terror On A Train) (1954)

Too Late For Tears aka Killer Bait (1949)

Train, The (1964) - The camera zooms in on a watch worn by a German officer.

Von Ryan's Express (1965) - Sinatra trades his American pilots watch for cigarettes and nylon stockings to a Gestapo agent.

.

This is the list that I have come up with. There are probably lots more movies that feature wristwatches, foreign films that Iíve forgotten the titles to, war films where soldiers synchronise their watches, Presley movies where he may wear a Patek Phillipe, a Hamilton Ventura or a Tissot.
