My dog "Max"

Max is a male Doberman/Kelpie cross, he was 6 1/2 years old in December 2001. I got him when he was 6 weeks old from the RSPCA, he was de-sexed (which is the only way they sell them). He was one of 10 identical pups, of which 5  were five left when I arrived. It took quite a while to pick him out, as I was trying to pick the most playful, but they all kept jumping about. And he has certainly turned out to be very playful.

He is a great companion to me and has a wonderful disposition, and he's also quite a handsome beast. He is very, very friendly and is much liked by everyone that knows him.

Lately he has been limping, which has become worse, requiring TPLO surgery to correct rupture of the cruciate ligament in his right hind leg.

Update June 2004:
The surgery was expensive and did not seem to help much, he still tended not to put that foot down.
However for the last six months I've been giving him arthritis treatments containing Glucosamine and Chrondroitin, and the results have been quite exceptional, he now seems to be almost as good as new!

Below are some pictures of Max, they are quite large and may take some time to load.
The first three pictures are from about a year ago.
The remaining pictures are quite recent.

He looks a little scary here, but it's just the angle of the shot.

I have four photos like this, he was scared of the camera, and just would not look at it.
