Unfortunatly I have not had the oppurtunity to see Jack play, I have been dying to see him play but the last year I have been stuck in my current duty station (okinawa) which makes it hard for me to see him. Love the site!

jake <didge0058@hotmail.com>

took my sons to see JJ and ben Harper on Mon 14th April here in Canberra. The tickets killed the budget but what a 'first' concert experience for them!!Thanks Jack for being their intro to the magic of 'live' performance and pure talent. They are even more passionate about their guitar playing and we would love to share our secrets of NSW South Coast surf spots with Jack. How do we send him an email? The Chilli Peppers are in on the secret. cheers gloteb

I can't believe how relaxing although groovy 'Brushfire F-Tales' is. WOW !!!
Frank Mosler <whitemo@gmx.de>

I believe the Song Flake is about man and woman's struggle understanding the depth and importance of their relationship. They are both Flakes. He doesn't want her to pass him by. That is an indication of his devotion. She is accepting of him, however, this acceptance is questionable due to the other ties, and these could be numerous, in her life. The first line shows that she doesn't mind him being broke or forgetting her birthday. He wants to plead with her that he needs to solve the problems that this very song is illustrating "Maybe she'll help me to untie this but Until then I'm gonna have to lie too". However, there is a steep cliff of expressed devotion that he shows with please please etc., that shows his commitment to this issue. Maybe her response was that he is a flake, she never loved him etc., or maybe he sees her as a flake because he doesn't have lots of cash or model looks to please her so she drags him down. The most interesting aspect of this tune is that it expresses the trepidation before the altar of loving. That trepidation is a universal experience. Thus, the song is a smash hit.
Jim Dice <homers@derbyworks.net>

sorry, this is getting a bit repetitive but need a bit of help. Not long ago my flat mate discovered jack johnson, obviously after all you others, but kindly she introduced the rest of us here in edinburgh to him, and for that we will be eternally greatful, anyway, its her birthday soon and she has mentioned JOAT, but from what i can tell it is pretty hard to come by, to add to this I am rubbish when it comes to computers, so would be lovely if someone could give me a bit of help, let me know where i could find a copy, or send a copy or something, anything, realise this is a lot to ask of complete strangers but seeing as you are all jack johnson fans i asume you are also all lovely people. Look forward to hearing from anyone who thinks they can help, x alex
alex <ali_f_b@hotmail.com>

Looking for a tab for Pirate Looks at 40. can anyone help me out?
Funk <r_sward@hotmail.com>

I just wante to quickly clarify something... Shelter is the surf flick with the "door episode" in it but it is by no means a classic surf flick. It's a great flick and quite possibly destined to be a classic but it's relatively new. None the less, go out and by it, it comes with a fantastic cd of acoustic music, great tunes. Best Regards, JP from NJ
Jeff Patterson <spongejp@hotmail.com>

I hope nobody knew those who passed in Bali last week. But G-D forbid if you did, our prayer's and thoughts are with you. Maybe through us all trying to stay posotive in these overwhelming situations, we can somehow tap into the eternal healing power that the universe so wants us to use.Live life and stay stoked--keep conscious and aware----give back and take care.--Gilla 02

Hey, I am a new Jack fan and was excited when I heard that he was planning on coming to Salt Lake City, but now that is changed. Does anyone know when he might be planning on coming to Salt Lake again?
Crystal <smalls1015@hotmail.com>

I have been retabbing Jai's awesome tabs to Guitar-Pro files. Anyone who doesn't know about guitar-pro should. I've had a demeo version for ages from their website and it is the best way I know to pass on the message of great music. These tabs can be found at http://www.mysongbook.com/eng-tab-tab_list-id_artist=1650.htm. It's going to take me a while to do them all but I have Flake and The News already up. ALL CREDIT Goes to JAI for the tabbing though, I am merely adding timing and strumming. Love to see new additions. Also check out Ben Harpers page on Mysongbook. More to be added to that too. Pass on the message of Peace to the world and prayers of a peaceful resolution to the problems with Iraq.
Rodrigo Osorio <rosorio@csc.com>

Is my board back up and working? It definately seems so... Well, new stuff has been planned for this site.. or at least a new site has been planned between myself and a friend with some more experience in these things than I have.. so in the next few months you should all check back here maybe... But don't expect anything too soon, uni is getting pretty hectic for both of us... In the meantime, keep enjoying the sweet sounds Jack puts out there and diggin' my tabs so you can try to copy those sounds.. Much love, Jai..

I am a big jack fan. I saw and met him in Santa Clara on February 10, 2002. Stood front row the whole concert and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. It was by far the best show I have ever been to and will probably ever go to. I love Jack, he plays greta music. Can't wait to see if he makes a next album. If you have cool stuff or info on Jack, email me. Thanks.

Zack <lemonadeflavor@yahoo.com>

Hey, good luck to all those trying to get hold of JOAT, any aussies who would like it can email me direct. Please do not offer to 'buy' JOAT, it is an unnoficial recording and nobody but Jack should be allowed to make money off Jack's music. If you don't know what a B&P is then ask, but unless you have something to trade then a B&P (Blanks and Postage) deal is the most likely way you will get your hands on a copy. Hope you are all enjoying the site, Jai

Hello... Okay, going to answer a couple of questions here, as much for future reference as to help you guys out... Number 1: I dont trade, and i don't have a burner, so i basically have no live Jack Johnson music to share even if i wanted to, and that includes J.O.A.T (however if anyone wanted to hook me up that'd be cool, lol)... sorry Number 2: Khai, go for your life, the more Jack Johnson resources there are out there the better... this isn't a competition, i look forward to seeing your site, good luck... Number 3: Dori, the J.O.A.T cover art is not mine, it was made by a guy that goes by the name of 'Beatnikdaddio' (i believe his real name is 'Jason'...?), and was designed specifically for that purpose, to be printed out by all who have J.O.A.T and if possible even included with all trades of the CD set... so im pretty sure Jason would be stoked if you could show it to Jack... just don't credit me with it.. im just the messanger... okay, that's all for now, please keep coming back and enjoying the site... there IS more to come.. Jai
