Carlisle River is Steve Holian's contribution to the Sunbury Model Railway Club's modular exhibition layout The Beechy. The other owners' modules tend to be stored from one exhibition to the next, but Steve has Carlisle River set up in his spacious garage.

The layout is a freelanced version of a Victorian Railways narrow gauge station, with a number of sidings allowing plenty of scope for shunting.

Equipment photographed on the layout are all Victorian - mostly from the Government Railways narrow gauge fleet but also including a Climax which ran at Erica, connecting to the Moe-Walhalla line there.
