Gary Norwood has built an exceptional version of the Rio Grande Southern - with a little twist of the Southern Pacific NG thrown in.

The layout resides in a partitioned off section of his garage, and is slowly beginning to take over more and more of the garage space. The scenery is very well done, with many scenes which are readily identified with the prototype localities.

Of course, some of the locomotives seen at Ophir, Lizard Head or Vance Junction might seem a little out of place, as Gary has an affection for Southern Pacific Narrow Gauge as well as the RGS, so we do see SP steamers in what are unlikely places. It doesn't take anything away from the enjoyment of watching the trains run around this lovely layout.
