He's Back!

Former Vice President Al Gore just can't stand not being the center of attention anymore. So, today Gore will deliver a "slash and burn" speech under the auspices of MoveOn.org, the far left political action committee. Gore will argue that President Bush has created animosity throughout the Islamic world against the United States, thus putting us at greater risk. He will wrap up the speech by calling for the resignation of nearly a half dozen top administration officials.

Gore has apparently learned nothing since his stint as Bill Clinton's vice president. He sees Islamic hatred aimed at the United States and he blames President Bush instead of the jihadists Imams who are teaching countless young Muslims to "kill the infidels." For eight years Clinton/Gore were oblivious to the gathering storm. Now Gore has the audacity to blame the president because we are finally fighting back.

Thank You Paula Zahn

President Bush's Oval Office meeting yesterday with the victims of Saddam Hussein's obscene punishment practices (all of the men the president met with had their hands cut off at Hussein's orders) made it on CNN. Paula Zahn did a story on the meeting last night and, even more amazingly, ran ten minutes of the documentary video on Hussein's atrocities that all the networks have refused to air. You can thank her by commenting on her web-form at: http://www.cnn.com/feedback/forms/form5.html?11

One Conspiracy Theory Shot Down

On September 20, 2001, only days after the September 11th attacks, while U.S. air flights were still grounded, a plane was given permission to take off from the U.S. carrying 26 passengers, most of them extended members of Osama bin Laden's family. The reason for the flight was the fear of the Saudi government that the bin Laden family members could be in danger here in the United States.

In the two and one-half years since the event, a conspiracy theory promoted by the radical left has gained momentum that suggests President Bush signed-off on the flight to "pay back" his friends in the Saudi royal family.

But, today we have the real facts on who authorized the flight. The individual responsible was Richard Clarke, whose book attacking the White House was all the rage a few weeks ago. Clarke told The Hill newspaper yesterday that "it (the authorization for the flight) didn't get any higher than me. On September 11th, 12th and 13th many things didn't get any higher than me. I decided it in consultation with the FBI." He added, "I take responsibility for it. I don't think it was a mistake, and I'd do it again."

So there you have it, my friends. The conspiracy theorists will have to find something else to bash Bush with. On this one, it is their hero, Richard Clarke, who allowed relatives of Osama bin Laden to flee the country, even though they may have had useful information on the attack that had just laid our nation so low. If that's an example of Clarke's decision making abilities, I'm relieved he is no longer in a position of responsibility for our nation's security interests!
