Welcome All You may already have noticed the photograph to the right. The guy on the left is my good mate Barry 'Bazza' Collins. I could say a few nasty things about his style of play, but I'll stick to the reason for having this photograph so prominant on my web site. Simply, we served together throughout. That statement includes before Vietnam, during Vietnam, and the many years after Vietnam. I put it that way because he means a great deal to me both as a mate, and more as a survivor. The period since Vietnam has shown that quite a number of us have not faired too well. That would be a gross understatement! Bazza and I managed to forstall the 'monkey' which climbed on the backs of so many of our mates. We did this quite unsuspectingly I believe; by keeping in touch throughout, and talking a little about the war, but a lot about the future. In that period Bazza was ever available. He had the 'ear' down pat, and never failed to volunteer that legendary smile. I have no doubt that Bazza was there for many other mates who needed a little encouragement to go on. I could say more, but you'll be getting a fat head Bazza, and I'll be getting that phone call. Thanks mate, for being there during those many touchy years.
