What do I look for when buying a quality juicer?
1. Does the juicer have quality electrical fittings?
An indication of what's inside is the quality of the fittings on the outside. Is
it a quality switch or the problematic push button style.
2. What brand of motor is used?
When buying a juicer, expect it to last for 20 years.
3. How credible is the juicer distributor?
Some companies will say anything to get your money when you are buying a juicer.
Beware of unsubstantiated claims. Beware of distributors that have been in
business for a few weeks offering a ten year warranty. Some Juicers on the
market may infringe international patents and are the subject of legal
proceedings. How likely is it that the manufacturer and distributor will be
around to validate your juicers warranty in 5 or 10 years time?
4. How useful will the juicers accessories be?
Will they just be extra bits of useless plastic. Are the glossy books just a
bunch of Korean recipes translated into English. Insist on genuine value. Is
there a local service center? Vitality 4 Life has service centres in the USA,
UK, Europe, Australia, NZ and Korea.
5. How effective is the juicer at extracting juice?
If you intend to use your juicer every day you will be spending between $50 to
$100 per week on produce. A machine that produces 20% more juice will save you
$100's even $1,000's per year.
6. Look to buying a juicer that delivers a clean juice free of fibre
If you're considering buying a single gear juicer remember the juice from these
machines must be sieved, because the concept of juicing is to give your
digestive organs a rest while absorbing nutrients and enzymes. The higher
quality the machine the less fibre in the juice. Buy
the best juicer you can afford.
