Questions and Answers about The Hippocrates Juicer

I'm am very confused as there seems to be conflicting information about various Greenpower models. I have seen Greenpower Gold, Greenlife, Greenstar. Also there is the Samson Ultra and Kempo machines available as well.

This confusion is a sad reflection on our industry as some companies focus on profit instead of health. The Greenpower Gold, Greenlife and Greenstar are all essentially the same machine. They were designed around 8 years ago. The advantages of living juice are well documented and these machines were the best available at the time. The juicers produced a great juice however the areas of dissapointment in these models were as follows; because there are so many plastic parts under stress these models tended to fall apart after 2-5 years which is why they are sold with a limited warranty. Difficult to clean because of so many parts, produces foam when juicing wheatgrass and also limited information available to assist customers to obtain the maximum benefits of living juice.

Please tell me the differences between the Samson Ultra, Kempo and Hippocrates.

Mr Kim, the inventor of all Greenpower machines recognised the problems of the older machines and spent the past five years working on a series of proto-types of a new model twin gear juicer to overcome these problems. The model sold as Samson Ultra (GP10 KPE 1302) was one of these proto types which were rejected by Vitality 4 Life because there was no easily accessable pulp adjustment and the twin gear housing was secured using a plastic knob.

Kempo is the brand name the Hippocrates is sold under in Korea. It seems that some of these machines have made there way to the USA and being sold on the internet. Whilst these are the same models as the Greenpower Hippocrates they are not supported by the Vitality 4 Life Dealer warranty access and the owners manuals and instructions are all designed around Korean usage.

Is there anything better about the Green Star than with the Hippocrates? If not how do they sell it while it's even more expensive.

The Green Star is an earlier model from the inventor of all Green Power Juicers, Mr. Kim from Korea. However the Green Star still has its place. Because its so much bigger it is ideal for commercial situations and in heavy (i.e.., more than 8 pints per day) juice situations. The Hippocrates (Kempo) is very new........there will be a time lag where the uninformed consumer will not know about the new model

Is the Hippocrates better than the previous models in the richness of the juice itself (more vitamins and enzymes etc.) or is it only better in convenience (less changing accessories etc.)?

The twin gears on the Green Star models were 7/ 1,000 of an inch apart. The new jang gears in the Hippocrates are 4 / 1,000 of an inch apart and the jang refers to the method in which this is achieved. The closer tolerance means more of the cell wall is crushed, opening more enzymes and more nutrients with even less pulp.........almost 100% assimilation by the body

Is there anything better with the single gear than with the twin gear?

The biggest advantage of the single gear juicer is price. Norman Walker said buy the best juicer you can afford but just start juicing. The single gear juicers are easier to clean. However, considering that with both single and twin gear juicers the operator is encouraged to make at least 2 pints at a time the slightly more difficult cleaning of the twin gear is a mute point.

Can the Hippocrates Green Power do everything the older models could?

Yes, and more. The Hippocrates by Greenpower is a total living food kitchen making a variety of *noodles, *pasta, soy bean dishes and fruit sorbets. Make your own soy milk with the Hippocrates and never have to buy pasturised soy milk again.

Is there any difference in the quality of the juice with the new model?

Yes, because these twin gears mesh closer together you receive the cleanest, most pulp free juice ever. One of the main benefits of juicing is to get all the living enzymes and nutrients you can get while giving your digestive organs a rest…so pulp free juice is very important. With the twin gears meshing more closer together, more of the cell wall is opened, therefore more nutrients and enzymes are released.

What's the difference between the Hippocrates and the Samson Ultra?

The Samson Ultra is an earlier model released by Mr Kim, the inventor of the twin gear system. He then worked on perfecting the model with input from people like Brian Clement from the Hippocrates Health Institute in Florida and our team here at V4L. The major difference between the two are the stainless steel locking mechanism and the fully adjustable pulp discharge control.

The Hippocrates Living Juicer by Greenpower not only comes with an operating manual, but a Vitality 4 Life Health program developed in conjunction with the Hippocrates Health Institute.

Why does this model have a 12 year warranty and earlier models had only a 2 or 5 year warranty?

The new model, the Hippocrates Living Juicer by Greenpower has been further improved by the designer Mr Kim to disperse the stress more evenly over different parts of the machine. The stainless steel locking mechanism exclusive to the Hippocrates model means that there are no longer any plastic parts that are subject to stress. The internal S/S locking mechanism provides greater strength than the plastic knob of the previous design.
