.Mind Breaker Words &Music:Kiyoharu I did like this song alot, but I'm getting very sick of it now. It didn't take long to play it to death unlike most Kuroyume songs which are so hard to kill I suspect they may be undead ^^. It's got some nice psychedelic bits though.
.*Drug People Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki I never seem to get sick of this one though, a wonderful boppy little riff. Love the contradictions here. It is so gentle and seductive and yet edgy. I know I'm always saying this, but this really is one of my ultimate favourite K songs.
.*Drive Words:Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Yes! Love it, love it, love it. Its hard to be overly intellectual about these songs. It's all about feeling, and these two are particularly warm and invigorating, with awesome bass lines. Hitoki really is very good.
.*C.Y.Head Words &Music:Kiyoharu More punk this time, always the genre that suits Kuroyume the best in my opinion. I can't resist him when he goes off like this.
.Can't See Yard Words &Music:Kiyoharu Love the acid vocals. He's not shy of using a little distortion and I think in this case he might have overdone it slightly.
.*Distraction Words:Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Short but sweet. Slightly Ramones like, but of course much more interesting. This album is bursting with great songs.
.* Spray New Take Words &Music:Kiyoharu Another classic and the only song on the album without a D in the title. Undertones style high speed punk pop. This one really pays off towards the end.
.*Let's Dance Words:Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Moving into dark cowpunk now (he does love those cowboy outfits). I love this song.
.Bloody Valentine Words:Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki More cowpunk, also a little mellower. Have to admit this song has yet to really impress me. Not to say it won't do, because sometimes they are creepers, but you do have to not like some songs, I suppose.
.*Dear Blue Words:Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki This one is instantly endearing. A little poppier, but with a truly irresistable hook. Wonderful bass playing, as usual. Love this song too much. Complex clever songwriting, the usual exquisite vocals .
.*Nite & Day Words &Music:Kiyoharu A gorgeous romantic ballad. For some reason Kiyo's Engrish never bothers me as much as some other j-rockers. Maybe because he is so much more talented in every other way. Romaji and English Translation
.*Needless Words &Music:Kiyoharu More my kind of thing. This is close to being my favourite song on the album, which really is saying something. There is something so pure and emotional about it. Soaring, driving, all that stuff.
.*Like@Angel Words &Music:Kiyoharu Great song! A perfect example of the Kiyoharu style, and of the fact that no-one else can sing like he does. Spectacular vibrato, and so many other vocal effects that no-one has thought of before. He seems to like ending gigs with it, and eras too, thinking of the version performed in tears at the end of Corkcrew Live or Die. The PV is a bit dull after the drama of this awesome live DVD and it doesn't really capture Kiyo very well either. The house it's filmed in is very nice though. Like@Angel romaji
.*Bad Speed Play Words:Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Fast acidy punk. My favourite kind of song. The PV is taken from Live at Shinjuki Loft, which is another spectacular DVD ^^ Live is always best where Kuroyume is concerned. The energy generated by the band in such a restricted space is awesome to see.
