.Noise Low3 Just a little distorted intro thingy.
.*Fakestar Words &Music: Kiyoharu Sharp, angry cowpunk. One of my favorite songs on the album. One of my favourite Kiyoharu songs full stop, which is saying something. He is hissing like a polecat. Some amazing recording techniques here as his voice oscillates rapidly between shriek and purr for most of the last half of the song :O
.Beams Words &Music: Kiyoharu Lighter, much poppier. A lovely song but a little frustrating after the wildness of Fakestar. Kiyoharu being silky and charming. Very delightful vocals. Almost edible. The PV says it all really, them being silly, too smart to take any of it seriously.
.Barter Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Different style again. Hard to categorize as usual. Much harder and more driving than Beams but without the edge of Fakestar. I like it alot more after seeing the Shinjuku loft version.
.I Sunnys Voice swedish girls talking backwards, I think.
.See You Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki More in the Beams style. But I like this one alot better for some reason. He sounds a bit more emotionally involved as if there is more of himself in the song. It also has a much more melancholy tone. "Don't say good bye, just say see you."
.*Reason of Myself Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Even more favourite than Fakestar, although really they are such different songs it is hard to compare. This is a slower, moody one with the most beautiful vocal melody *sigh*. Puts me into a trance straight away. This song is a drug.
.II BBC radio voices.
.*Sex Symbol |
.*Cool Girl Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Cool song! Starts out with some heavy breathing. Definatley a desire song. Fake Star is really rocking now.
.*S.O.S. Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki Love this one even more, but then I'm sucker for manic ska/cow punk, of which this is a superlative example. More than a little Eastern European in flavour along Chuuzetsu lines. My favourite kind of song. Very bouncy and high energy with incredibly melodic and intricate vocals.
.III Some whips and strange noises.
.Hysterias Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Hitoki I like this one too. A slower, emotional torchy number with a slightly jazzy feel.
14. ピストル *Pistol Words &Music: Kiyoharu But I like this one alot better. It has more energy and momentum. Seventies style synth adds to generally funky, dancy theme. Quite a long song that takes a while to really get going, but once it does it really blossoms into something special. Delivered in the usual dark Kiyoharu style, which makes a nice contrast with the upbeat feel.
夢 Yume Words &Music: Kiyoharu Now we really are getting into late night, last dance material. It is a lullaby really, with a very soft warm feel, but just a bit too erotic to actually put you to sleep.
.*HLM is Original Words: Kiyoharu, Music: Kuroyume Driven by a lovely intricate bass part, this song snakes along, solid but full of melody.
.IV Eitherside a sweet little coda song.
