Christine Laskowski examines the roystering days of land grabs, the goldrush, bushranging, villainy, warring landladies, hardworking farmers, and souls lost in floods along Steele Creek and the Maribyrnong River.   From 'The Springs' in the north to Solomon's Ford in the south, and from the Maribyrnong River in the west to Hoffman's Road in the east, Christine looks through the small end of the telescope at the adventures and misadventures of  the men and women who first looked upon the running waters of Steele Creek.
