Exhausted! Had breakfast at Cabra this morning with a few friends then headed up to the city to browse around the Chinese Markets hoping to at least catch some lion dance, firecrackers or the 'amazing acrobats'. Stayed around Chinatown the whole afternoon but saw none of the above - what a disappointment. Left the city around 16:30 and went to work for 4 hours. Hardly even sat down the whole day today - my legs are killing me.

My prospects for 2006? In cycles, career, finances, and romance may seem to be slipping away. Remain calm, reasonable, and patient, and by the end of the year you will see solid improvements in all areas.
Guess I have nothing to look forward to for a loooong while. Although I don't particularly believe in horoscopes anyway, whether it be Solar or Lunar.

Quote of my day by Leng:
Since an Australian-born Chinese is called a 'chozzie', then an Australian-born Malaysian is called a 'mozzie'

Also added a new link: Tetsu's blog.
I love how the pictures change when the page is refreshed.

Yesterday was Australia Day (ofcourse), spent most of the afternoon browsing the markets and getting all excited about where to stick the fake tattoos of the Australian flag. After lunch, we checked into our rooms at the Sydney Boulevard Hotel - I loved the sauna & steam room, now I wish I had my very own at home as well. The whole idea of staying out at the city was to watch the Australia Day fireworks. But change of plans - ended up having takeaway dinner in our rooms and stayed inside all night. Too bad we were on the wrong side of the CBD - all the buildings blocked the view of Darling Harbour so we saw not a spark from the fireworks on the other side. If only they had some at the Harbour Bridge..

The buffet breakfast was delicious. We filled our plates with 3 different types of self-toasted bread & a range of spreads, scrambled eggs, grilled tomatoes, baked beans, hash browns, fried rice, white congee & plenty of OJ. Dessert for breakfast? A selection of watermelon, dates, apricot and peaches. Mmm..

Photos: The breathtaking view from our bedroom.

Went up to the city to visit my sister after work today. After having lunch, we walked around Belmore Park near Central station as there was a food festival taking place this week. As we heard the loud drums and cymbals, we ran excitedly like little children trying to find the lions. The Lion Dance - my favorite part of Chinese New Year. We followed them like stalkers walking around Capitol Square and then back again to the park where they fell on the grass exhausted. Little boys, they are. Can't be any older than their Highschool years. Great performance though :)

Had such a fun time crashing at Kiki's place yesterday. Arrived around 4pm, had an extra early delicious Japanese dinner her parents had prepared for us, bashed a 10kg watermelon, played uno and ps2 - Buzz is such a fun game! (I suck though) And sang Sing Star while the other half of the group watched Chinese gay porn on DVD (they really should wash their eyes out). Nevertheless, it was heaps fun :D got home around 1:30am and only had a few hours sleep =_= Next destination: Alex's house! Can't wait :)
