All you gotta do is look for him. (n/t) (03-Jul-1999 11:51:53) Matt: Steve in the Young Ones (03-Jul-1999 14:10:42) Molly: Matt, you forgot Hugh Laurie, Dawn French and I believe Lenny Henry who were in the radio version of WL. (which I think some people forget) (n/t) (03-Jul-1999 14:36:14) Yes, Molly....we know....you never stop reminding us of it. (n/t) (03-Jul-1999 17:43:50) Sam: Steve was also the bank manager in "Summer Holiday". Oy, what a bad suit he was wearing.. (n/t) (03-Jul-1999 14:44:41) Matt: I don't think he was Sam - was he? (n/t) (03-Jul-1999 23:37:54) Sam: He was.....I watched it this morning....it was a really bad suit. (n/t) (03-Jul-1999 23:48:30) Jessie: My favourite is still the garden ... ahh yes ... (n/t) (03-Jul-1999 20:29:05) Molly: Sam's right, Steve's in the Summer Holiday one. Isn't Lenny Henry in that one too? (n/t) (04-Jul-1999 02:13:17) Matt: Yep - playing the postman who delivers the Fab Four's exam results. (n/t) (04-Jul-1999 09:17:48) Molly: Thanks Matt. I wasn't sure it was him. (n/t) (04-Jul-1999 15:09:55) Matt: Try reading the credits, Molly ;) (n/t) (04-Jul-1999 20:27:01) Jessie: add to that Steve on an ep of Pie in the Sky (so I like the show, so what? *G*) yesterday ... it was highly amusing, his part. or at least to me :) (n/t) (05-Jul-1999 09:26:23) Matt: I found Pie In The Sky rather average, though the sight of Samantha Janus standing on a table cleaning the restaurant windows in a short skirt usually persuaded me to tune in... I never once followed the plot!! :) (n/t) (05-Jul-1999 14:48:40) Jessie: Hehehe, well, you're not the only one who has looked at me weirdly for liking it ... it's not going to make me fall over laughing but I find it entertaining enough ;) (if only for the recipes I can get *G*) ... and Steve was cute on it ;) (n/t) (05-Jul-1999 18:53:30) Matt: Steve was on an episode of The Bill a year or so back, as a troubled widower who couldn't accept his wife's death and ended up holding his son hostage in a domestic siege before attempting suicide. It was very powerful stuff, and proved that the guy can REALLY act. (n/t) (05-Jul-1999 18:56:45) Jessie: I never doubted it for a moment ... wouldn't mind seeing that though! (n/t) (05-Jul-1999 19:44:17) Matt: UK Gold will screen it again soon enough... (n/t) (05-Jul-1999 20:00:06) Jessie: *L* And UK gold would be ... *G* sorry, canuck here. I'll stare at our showcase channel and will it to start playing the Bill :) (n/t) (05-Jul-1999 20:49:58) Matt: Oops! Sorry - allow me to explain. UK Gold is a satellite channel which plays 24 hour repeats of classic British drama series, soaps, quizzes and sitcoms. I was under the impression it was receivable abroad - obviously not... (n/t) (06-Jul-1999 02:01:17) Jessie: It might in some places ... just not in my neck of the woods (and in the cable packages I can afford *L*) ... thanks Matt. I'll still keep an eye out for the show on the channels here that carry such things ... (n/t) (06-Jul-1999 11:36:56) Dean (aka Polly Page, Narika Dhata and June Ackland's biggest fan!): Steve was almost unrecognisable in that ep, it truly was a great performance. Good to see youre a The Bill fan Matt :) (n/t) (06-Jul-1999 05:08:04) Matt: I'm more of a Debbie Keane or Vicki Hagen man myself... women in uniform - grrrowl! :) (n/t) (06-Jul-1999 10:17:27) -- Mark Longmuir - longmuir@labyrinth.net.au Homepage: http://www.labyrinth.net.au/~longmuir/ Whose Line is it Anyway? - http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Lot/8451 "Stop tap dancing, you fool!" --------------------------------------------------------------------- [Image] [Image] Whose Board is it, Anyway? I think Stephen was one of the ghosts. I never knew he was in this ep until now. Let's see last week was the Stephen Fry one and this week was the Stephen Frost ep what's next Paul Merton (or when he was on it was Martin).
