JOOK - Quarter Century Egg

It's about time we're due for another Asian dance party. I think the flyer below pretty much says it all. The same friendly crowd, same hip music, same 'good-time' atmosphere and same dirty dancing : all just a few years more "grown-up" than before.

When: Friday 7th January 2005

Where: CASTLES - 114 Castlereagh Street, Sydney

Time: 9:00pm - late

Dress Code: As requested by the organisers

(girls) white pants and white G's, (guys) smart casual.

Specials: Giveaway flashing lights imported by international guest from China!

Happy New Year 2005

It really didn't seem that  long ago the last time party goers were living up the final NYE hours in Lakemba. Here it is again, another year, same party, new resolutions and of course a mountain of alcohol to keep everyone on a high. Having turned up at 4am, I only managed to witness the aftermath of left over bottles and drunken loots spread out on sofas and beds.

Due to the lack of resources I was called in last minute to work a 12 hour shift (3pm - 3am) on the NYE front line. Considering the circumstances, it wasn't as shite as I thought it might be. Having avoided the city NYE scene for the last 4 years it sort of felt good to be out and about amongst thousands looking to have a good time.

Highlights include, riding shot gun with the police, having Hot British girls wanting a ride in your car, providing chaotic traffic in Sydney, strolling across 8 lanes of the Harbor Bridge, dressing up friends as fake RTA employees to view fireworks. Downfalls, extremely sore feet, headache and first NYE in 5 years I didn't get to spend it with Millicent.

Not Another Asian Dance Party

Well respected members of the Asian community, Christian, Adeline, Stephen & Lillian are having a birthday bash at the same place where the Lottery was held earlier this year in July, read the testimonials.

If you want to relive the memories of Asian girls in white pants grinding each other in "The Cage", the details are:

When: 6th November 2004

Where: Jacksons on George - Level 2, 176 George Street

Time: 9:30pm - late

Dress: (girls) white pants and black G's, (guys) smart casual.

Alicia Keys @ Enmore Theatre

It's not every day you get to see a international superstar, even if it did cost me $90 bucks. Alicia Keys has such an amazing voice, the concert was awesome and as quoted by Shuai, "Alicia Keys .... she's HOT!!!"

Alicia Keys - If I ain't got you

Bistro LuLu's @ Oxford St, Paddington

Just a reminder, if you ever go there with your entertainment card, the 25% of the total bill does not apply to any of the 2 or 3 course set menus. Food was okay, I had the Venison for entree and Sirloin for the main, in terms of value, the $5 steak pub in Surry Hill will give this place a run for its money. Service wasn't that great either.

Weekend Just Gone.

  • I went to Four Season Hotel for their GFM sugar hits. They were serving Mini Vittoria tiramisu, frozen nougat parfait and chocolate tarte. It was good, but for that price you could buy a whole chicken at Habibs with chips and garlic sauce.

  • Manage to see the Sydney Motor Show. Entry fee wasn't too bad $16.50, I figured I can justify the cost by saying it's equivalent to buying two car magazines and I get to sit in them.

  • Photos from Sydney Motor Show
