Carina’s Apple Crumble

The following Ingredients will make approximately 2 Trays (Approx size 25 x 20 cm)

Melt the butter, add milk, yeast, egg, sugar and last the flour. Work to a smooth dough, then leave to rise for approximately 2 hours or when the mixture reaches double it's original size.

In the meantime, mix the crumble. Ingredients for this is as follows:

Rapidly mix it together to a breadcrumb consistency. Then peel 5 ~ 6 Granny Smith Apples and slice them very thinly.

Now place the dough for the base into a square cake tin, work into a not too thick layer, layer the apple slices on top, sprinkle with cinnamon, and finally sprinkle the crumble mixture over the cake.

Bake in 220 Celsius for about 25 minutes and let cool. Serve slices with whipped cream or ice cream to taste.
