Erika Born in March 1944 in a small town called Kitzingen which is located near Nürnberg and lies in the famous wine making region of Germany. In 1951 my parents moved with us to a town called Sala which is some 170 Km north of Stockholm Sweden hence I have been given the nickname "Viking". By the way, it is a town of much beauty, well worth a visit. A great deal of history surrounds it and the region. The best time to visit the region is between mid May ~ July. I met my husband John in 1982 at a German Club in Sydney Australia during one of the German cultural festival's which was being held at the time. We where married on the 23rd March 1996. Here is a picture of John and myself taken in our garden just after the wedding.
I do hope that with time, this page will display some of the fascinating sights, sounds and customs of these three truly beautiful countries, cultures and its people and provide a bit of fun from time to time.
