Welcome to the homepage of the newly-established Huguenot Society of Australia. The Huguenots were French Protestants who suffered cruel persecution in their homeland. Many of them chose exile in order to maintain their religious freedom, and they enriched all the countries where they settled with their skills, hard work and moral character.
Our Society is predominantly made up of descendants of the Huguenots, but is open to anyone who is interested in these admirable and fascinating people. Please explore the different options on this website to find out more about them, and what our society has to offer.
