Casper
The file casper25.jpg was originally posted to alt.binaries.pictures.misc
on 16 June 1994. "Casper" is a verreaux's sifaka lemur (propithecus
verreauxi) juvenile. The picture was taken at Berenty Reserve, Madagascar,
October 1992. Image size: 656x492.
"Casper was (and hopefully still is) quite the friendliest sifaka in
Berenty Reserve when I was there in 1992 and 1993. Not only did he come
and peer into my camera lens while I took this photo; he also liked to
nibble on my fingers and let me stroke his tail :) I only wish he didn't
live quite so far away." -- Anthony C. Brewer
(Ringtail looked at his tail. He had never really noticed it before,
but it did have black rings around it. Pretty rings they were too,
he thought.)
He is very close to the camera. He is very curious and confident.
Woosh! Hey! Where's my twinkie and generic grape juice soft drink?! --
