Peakhurst Swim Club - Become a Swimming Official ...it's easier than ever before!

If you have any interest in becoming an accredited swimming official (timekeeper, starter, judge, check starter, or recorder) then now is the time to act! Not only will you feel more confident helping out at Club, you will be able to assist at school carnivals and higher level meets!

We will be organising a training and assessment program in 2009. The process for gaining accreditation has recently changed and much of the training is now available online followed by a practical session which can be organised to take place at our Club. Check out the information on the Club’s website at technicalofficial  or talk to John Owen, David Goff or Cherry Smith who are our Club referees.

Please consider helping the Club and your kids in this way. Let John, David, Cherry or Pat, our Club President, know if you would like to find out more.

Peakhurst Swim Club - Race Entries

WHAT NOT TO DO WHEN MAKING RACE ENTRIES!

All parents are responsible for the accuracy of entries for carnivals.
Parents are required to check their cards and to keep copies for their own records.

Information for Parents web link provides useful information from Swimming Australia.
A comprehensive set of Behavioural Guidelines is also available for viewing.

Peakhurst Swim Club - Guidelines for swimming various distances

New swimmers do not swim as well as experienced ones. To help with the learning experience, as swimmers progress in skill and confidence, they will be judged to higher standards. This is necessary so that when the swimmer competes against other swimmers in competition, they will be aware of the Rules of Swimming.

View the Guidelines here.
