Family history is more than just a collection of names and dates. As a genealogist gathers data on the various branches, twigs and leaves of their family's past, many interesting stories come to light.

The genealogical database on this web site is the result of over 25 years of research into my family and the people they came into contact with during their lives.

Not all the people represented here are related to me. They may be listed on a census I have been viewing or they may have a surname that matches my research and are waiting to be linked. Many other researchers have contributed to this collection.

Being conscious of space and patience, the database includes the minimum of genealogical data to permit identification. The only living people represented are me, my parents, spouse and children. If you find something of interest, drop me an email and I will let you know where I found them. If you can find a link, I would be happy to add your data to this site so you can share it with other researchers.

I make no apologies for the choice of subjects for the 'Family Stories'. I have chosen to write about the people who interest me. I can only hope that my viewers find my choices interesting too.
