I totally second Bozza's congrats!.
ACCA is the BEST!!!! We train.......well sometimes, we do.....but I say this time and time again, ACCA's secret weapon during the season is not about how hard we train, or how far we can go....its who we sit with in the boat, the fun we continue to enjoy, in and out of the boat, and how we love working as a team. And this means thinking as a single unit, and with the unselfish attitude of
never giving up for one's self, but instead to give it all you got for the team.
When we win, we don't just win alone, we share this win, (even though the ratchet coach hogs the trophies). When I was standing at the back of the ACCA 1's boat on Saturday, seeing everyone on ACCA 1's boat cheering and sharing the joy of winning when ACCA 2 crossed the finish line twice in first place, I was the happiest steer that day. Why!? Because, ACCA won that day! not as a divided team, but as a single team.
Thanks everyone. You all played a special part in the win-wins this season. We really made Angela's and Jana's dream this season. Thanks to everyone who turned up to the races, eventhough you couldn't make it to training. Can't wait till the after season party!
Remember, just because the season's ended doesn't mean that we have to stop having FUN as a team.
We've got ACCA- golf....how about ACCA- fishing .... or ACCA - ten pin bowling....or ACCA- basketball (we used to have this)...or ACCA - gym (I promised Liz that I'd lose about 5-10 kgs by our wedding....Jana! help!....Steven! anymore Metamucils?.....
