The money raised at Xiao's birthday party went to International China Concern to sponsor a boy and a girl at Hope House in Hunan where 58 children live together. These children were born with disabilities and are unlikely to be adopted especially now that they are three years old.

Tan Fen, born with Downes Syndrome, has had a heart operation and Tan Gang, born with no anus has also had an operation to fix that but he has no bladder control and has a hearing impairment.
