The wave equation links three properties:
* speed
* wavelength
* frequency

The speed of the sound is the distance travelled per second by a given wave. A wave of length l takes T seconds to pass a point. Its speed v is the distance travelled divided by the time taken. The distance travelled in T seconds is l metres.
