The Sydney Stingers is a competitive water polo team playing the NSW metropolitan competition.  The team has been getting wet since October 2001 and was originally formed to represent Sydney in the 2002 Gay Games.  The team is now incorporated and is a permanent fixture of the Sydney gay and lesbian sporting community.

The teams mission is to provide a friendly environment to play water polo, train and socialise.  The team is continually recruiting new members, regardless of experience, however game of water polo does require strong swimming skills and endurance.  The team encourages new and beginner players to join and actively develops and improves all skills required.
