Off-Road Racing in Australia

Catering for all tastes of Off-Road Motor sport.

Welcome to the Web site for the alternative motor racer.
Best viewed from Netscape 2.0 or equiv/better.

This site will endeavour to be informative to anybody contemplating driving and/or racing these vehicles.

Ok Update time.. I bought another 100kW Toyota 4A-GE engine.
I competed at Sea Lake, took it slow for the first lap as I hadn't raced for some time
Nearing the end of Lap 1, the muffler fell off, continued for the 2nd lap (100kms per lap)
Almost where the muffler fell off, the top right link pin sheared as we rounded a left corner, going slow
Limped back to the Pits (~20kms) had the 1/2 Hr rest break, fixed the link pin
Put in ear plugs cause of the noise (no muffler still)

Approx 20kms in for Lap 3, the top left link pin sheared, problem was this was at about 150km/h
This resulted in the left wheel turning under front, skewing the buggy right
and making us roll over. Just the once as we were climbing a hill
Removed the left front wheel as the shocker had broken so the suspension wasn't destroyed
limped back to the pits, didn't continue, spent 1Hr in first-aid as we had rolled for "observation"

AGAIN, I'm making repairs

WARNING: Wear EAR PROTECTION, its not funny when everyone sounds like Donald Duck

There are many forms of Off-Road Racing here in Australia, from racing paddock bombs around the farm to full blooded, high speed racing that could cover up to around 300 Kilometers from start to finish or run several laps of a course of up to 100 kilometers per lap!

What is Off-Road racing you may ask, well it is quite simply, racing of "modified" cars, 4 WD's or buggies around a set track of varying grades of difficulty, over a set distance and against other vehicles.

There are level of Off-Road Racing that will be currently covered by this web site and they will be Long/Short course Professional racing.

Other areas that I have here are Ideas that you could use in your version of a vehicle for competition, Tracks and Contacts
