An affiliate of the National
Air & Space Museum, the independently owned and operated Kansas
Cosmosphere and Space Center features the largest collection of Russian
space artifacts outside of Moscow as well as an extensive display of
historic relics from the U.S. space program, including the famed Apollo 13
capsule. After its tour is completed, the rescued and restored Liberty
Bell 7 Mercury capsule also will become part of the museum's collection.
