From the pool through the rocks and around.

Here I got down to 8.8 m

Saw my first eel and my first ray. Oh , a groper changing again. Plenty of smaller fish.

Getting back in from the second dive was a little difficult. It had gotten rougher and we missed the channel through the rocks. I remember hanging on and seeing Illana getting tossed around on the bottom. As we came up nearer the pool the rocks attacked Illana , she was definitely not happy at this point. Nor did that improve when one of the rocks stole her weight belt !

The arrow shows the begining of our way over the rocks.

Here's what Illana had to say :

Visibility around 6 meters - but we got out of water at 12 noon. strong wind, tide turned and shit what an exit. In fact the dive was truly memorable. I could not find dump valve on back, holding on for dear life - pulled away from rock, reg ripped out, got it back, can not dump air - all in shallow water - shit go to surface to calm down.

Lost channel coming back in. Tossed about, rocks grab and open my weight belt - I think ah got you you little flowerer! Snapped it shut again. Rocks decide they do not like my language or attitude. pick me up and hurl me on other rocks - 3 times. shit that is exciting. I think I can pass on it though. Eventually found hold of rock and like limpid mine I am not moving. Tony wants me to come around his side of rock - I try it. rock wins! weight belt gone - Illana hurled around on rocks again. Eventually she says - tell me where the hell you want me to get too - I will go there. Off I go.

Very easy to leave the water and get up the 4 flights of stairs - after all I do not have 30lb of weight to carry - nor the weight belt. Have now bought replacement one - $130.

I plan for us to do lots of dives - boat dives and boat dives and boat dives and more boat dives. I hate flowering shore dives!!!!! My body aches all over - it hates flowering shore dives .. in fact I hate flowering shore dives, my body hates shore dives, my equipment hates shore dives and my wallet hates shore dives.
