StarTrails
Your Audio Roadmap to the
Night Sky In Eastern Australia
by Tony Surma-Hawes and NightStories

StarTrails is a podcasting service for those who would like to know what they are looking at in the heavens when walking the dog, running a few k's or simply kicking back having a few ales on the verandah.

Each month an mp3 audio file will be available to be downloaded from this site with information about planets and constellations for that month. I must stress this NOT about Astrology or starsigns, you will need to consult your local sharman if you want that sort of information

October StarTrails

Venus once again has a close encounter with the Moon, and is the brightest object in the sky after the Sun and Moon.

Mars begins retrograde motion one month before Opposition in November and doubles in brightness.

The Moon passes through the edge of the Earth's shadow in a partial lunar eclipse around mid-month.
