Sven's
Bridge Guide provides you with useful self-study material for playing
Bridge socially (no prizes for guessing that I live in Australia, where
we have one of the world's most famous bridges next to our Opera House).
The guide also provides you with an introduction to my two Bridge booklets
(pictured above and described below). You are welcome to download and
print my Bridge Guide on your computer. The guide is designed for colour
printing on A4 paper in PDF format for which you will need to have the
Adobe Reader
program available on your computer.
Sven's Decision Tables for Bridge Bidding are designed for use at the Bridge table. No frills, no science, just plain logic. They are very graphical and form a Bridge bidding method, a logical flow chart if you will, leading from the opening bid to the final declaration of a contract. With the mind of a programmer and many years of experience as a technical writer Sven has put a lot of thought into this particular piece of documentation to make it as user-friendly and as accurate as possible. Clearly marked Reference Tabs at the bottom front edge of the booklet make it quick and easy to turn to a particular decision table.
The current version of Sven's Decision Tables is based on Standard American
5-Card Major bidding conventions, but point ranges used in the tables
may vary slightly from what you are used to. Furthermore, the tables cover
only a selected set of common bidding situations and only four
of the most common bidding conventions (Stayman, Jacoby,
Blackwood and Gerber). Whether you are playing Bridge socially or in a
club, this lookup-guide is likely to prove very useful. This is not merely
another Bridge book, it is a tool. Convenient and fast.

This brilliant product was developed by Helly Kemp. In one single full-coloured graphic cheat sheet Helly
has managed to accommodate a lot of information about the 35 available
bids, the bidding process itself, some basic playing tips, slam bidding
and even scoring.
"The 35 Steps" cheat sheet is available in laminated sizes A3 and A4 for
Standard 5-Card Major as well as for 4-Card ACOL bidding and can be ordered
here via Helly's webpage along with a number of other useful products,
such as mouse pads and Bridge books.
